COLUMBUS, Ohio — Want a little bit more LaureLive in your summer? The folks behind LaureLive music fest have put together a brand-new two-day event that will take place a few hours down the road in Columbus. WonderBus music festival has been announced for Aug. 17-18.

The new festival, produced by The Elevation Group, will be similar to LaureLive — a music festival that has been rocking in Northeast Ohio for the past three years. In addition to big headlining acts (Foster The People, Gary Clark Jr., Brandi Carlile, O.A.R.), LaureLive is known for its family-friendly environment, eclectic food offerings and local vendors.

You can expect the same at WonderBus.

Musically, WonderBus may have a different lineup than LaureLive, which this year features Sheryl Crow and Hozier as its main headliners. We’ll find out next month, when the lineup, location and ticket information are announced in early April.

The festival will be organized by Elevation, with the help of a few partners — The Shipyard marketing agency CEO and Chairman Rick Milenthal, Music Elevates founder Michelle Wesley and Cliff Chenfeld, the co-founder and former owner of Razor & Tie Music and “Kidz Bop” franchise.

“We cannot think of a better way for Ohio residents to bookend their summer. LaureLive in early June and WonderBus in late August,” Elevation chief operating officer and WonderBus executive producer Steve Lindecke said in a press release.
