Music Festival Postponements
Dear WonderFul Family:
Ughhhhhhhhhh! We feel like we have been punched in the gut. This is the announcement we never wanted to make.
However, due to the ongoing COVID19 pandemic and the continuation of Ohio’s ban on mass gathering events, we have simply run out of time. We are devastated to tell each of you that we must move our two Summer 2020 music festivals – WonderStruck in Clevelandand the WonderBus Music & Arts Festival (Columbus) – to 2021.
Ticket holders will be contacted directly via email early next week. There will be several options, including a refund on tickets purchased.
Like you, we are massively disappointed that gathering in celebration of friends and live music cannot take place in the current environment. As we all know, at this moment we are engaged in a greater battle on multiple fronts. We cannot forget, we are all in this together. We need to work closely with one another to help put this awful nightmare behind us. And when that happens, we are going to celebrate with one helluva party in both Cleveland and Columbus.
We promise you that our team will work tirelessly over the next year in an effort to deliver two of the best music festivals the state of Ohio has ever seen. On that note, we would ask that you hold the following dates:
Cleveland: June 12-13, 2021
Columbus: August 28-29, 2021
We are holding a second weekend later in the year for WonderStruck in Cleveland. Our intention is to run in June as we always have. In the event that the world is not ready for music festivals until later in the summer, we will be ready.
Our team has been in contact with every artist. They are all deeply disappointed as well. We will endeavor to secure as many of the same artists for 2021 that were scheduled to appear in 2020. The Cleveland lineup was our biggest yet! And while we were never able to announce the Columbus lineup, it was going to be epic.
A big thank you to the great team at Lakeland Community College (Cleveland) and our close friends at CAS (Columbus). We could not possibly have two better venue partners. They have stood by our side through all of the global turmoil and each is as excited for 2021 as you are.
In Columbus, as part of our festival there, we partner with The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in support of their work in mental health and suicide prevention. Now more than ever, we all need to understand and address the mental health and strain put on all of us by the events of 2020. Please take a moment to learn how you can helphttps://wexnermedical.osu.edu/mental-behavioral.
Finally, we are working on a special virtual event that we hope to present at the end of the summer. Stay tuned and stay well.
Kindest regards,
The Elevation Festivals Team
